On May 27th, 2026, The Pitlane Post was indefinitely deactivated due to internal issues.

Two days ago, the Post came back online.

This article aims to explain what happened.

Why was the Post deactivated?

Multiple internal issues including authors and codebase errors. Those codebase issues have been fixed and we should be resuming business as usual.

Authors?

Unfortunately, our other two authors (aside from myself) have decided to not continue writing for The Pitlane Post.

At the moment, I am the only writer. Due to this, we will not be publishing any WRC articles in the near future. I'm still calculating if I can manage to publish WEC articles.

Thank you to our amazing writers who helped bring the Post off the ground and good luck to them on anything they do in the future.

What's next?

I'm terribly sorry for not covering a large part of the Canadian GP and the Monaco GP. Due to the timing of all this, I don't expect those articles to be published.

However, I'll try to restructure publishing schedules so that we can have more consistent publishing. Rather than having one article per session group (quali + race, for example), the Post will be publishing one weekend recap article and one to two non-session related articles. (for example, Our article on the FIA stating V8s are making a return.)

Another new thing: I'm currently working on opening up The Pitlane Post to authors all over the internet. That means you could write an article for us, and we'd publish it. Stay tuned for progress on that, as I have to figure out how to ensure maximum security, spam reduction/prevention, and attribution.

Thank you.

And thank you, reader, for checking for updates.

Until next time,

Lucian
